Hey,

Love the journal entry! Sounds like the David I knew when I had to leave. I remember that conscious decision, how we talked about it, and the things you did to make it work. I'm glad you're back! Your life sounds so good, too. If I remember correctly, you ended up with a whole lot of what you wanted. Pretty cool when that happens, isn't it???

Hugs to you, Alison, and Reina!

oops, forgot J. and Stevi... - July 18, 2007, 6:56 pm
Stevi... I wish it were that simple. As far as I can see a man has 2 responsibilities in life. To himself and to his family. To oneself, one owes honesty and commitment to being happy and productive. To ones family, a man owes the rent, the bills, love, and self-fulfillment. It's hard to trade artistic integrity for a loaf of bread at the Seven Eleven, dude.

To: Tone Def, Jennifer, and Stevi B. - July 18, 2007, 6:53 pm
Hey Crud-enski! Dude, aside from rooling, you rok too. Hope yer rootin' for my O's. They owned Seattle last night. Made Ichiro look like she couldn't even swing a bat... ha... as if.. Anywho, I know I said I'd stop bugging you about coming up here to B'More, but this is me bugging you. You gots to come up. The dog is hungry and there's meat enough on that frame of yours for a half decent lunch! A. says hey!

tone def - July 16, 2007, 8:51 pm
Crudensky rocks! (Jelly rolls.) Hey, dude, looks like Borat is spamming you big-time. Congrats. That's huge. Write him a song. What rhymes with Khazakstan? Orange! (Duh.) Just do it. Saw the J-man play last night. Tried to steal his girl, but no go. He done good. She done better. Booked him for a show next month. That'll kill his career. Gotta go - asteroid coming.
Tone Def

Jennifer - July 13, 2007, 1:39 am

Christy (Wilson) Cottrell - March 2, 2007, 2:41 pm
Hey, David! It was so awesome to see you a couple of weeks ago at the Westside Cafe. It's been too many years. Bummer that it was a slow night. We would've stayed longer, but the youngins just kick our asses and bedtime seems to come earlier and earlier (for the old parents, that is- the kids could probably stay up all night!). Anyway, I would love to catch up- Send me an email. BTW- Congrats on getting hitched! And how's doggy? Recovered from the barnyard brawl?

tone def - January 29, 2007, 12:57 pm
More alleys?? We've got plenty of alleys. More doughnuts!

David Morreale - January 26, 2007, 2:36 am
Who's pregnant? What? Ain't nobody pregnant up in this house... Anyway, Foster... how's biz, my man?

Rizzy - January 25, 2007, 10:13 pm
This is random, but I was that Indian girl that just walked out of Austin Grill early. I wanted to say that your music was great and that only the fact that I have to be at work early in the morning kept me from staying longer.

Foster Gambrell - January 24, 2007, 3:02 am
PREGNANT!That is simply capital.David, I am moving back to MD in the next few months from my suburban purgatory in Jacksonville.I have your bitch ass on my iPod, so you can kiss my ass about not showing you the love, eh? ...Congrats on the great news---Foster

Nate Thompson - August 22, 2006, 10:12 pm
hey uncle david,
i have a basic guitar question for you. first im gonna start playing guitar. today i have been playing and i've gotten a lot better. I've learned a song by it's chords, not its tabs. pretty cool huh? well im gonna get an acoustic for christmas. and then save my money and get either a FenderŪ Deluxe Powerhouse Stratocaster Electric Guitar candy apple red with a white pick board or whatever, or a Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar wine red which one. i've heard that epiphones are cheeper gibsons and gibson makes the same guitar but a lot more expensive. which ones the right choice?

peace,
nate thompson

Bryan & Debbie Engblom - August 20, 2006, 11:32 pm
It was great listening and chatting with you in Winona, MN. After reading your bio, we remembered being in Baltimore a few years ago and seeing a street-mime... Was that you??? If so, glad things have improved since then!

That's a nice bike you're on, but remember, you meet the nicest people on a Honda!

Best wishes,
Bryan & Debbie Enblom

Roxanne Bostic - June 30, 2006, 3:33 am
Wow! I really love your website. The pictures, the information, and the colors. It really sets a tone. It's all put together so well. I'm so excited for you with all of these shows in so many different areas of the country. I know we have not seen each other in years and for all I know you have been playing all over the country for a while now but I'm happy to see you are doing so well.
What I want to know is...When are you coming back to Nashville? Yes, I moved back to nashville about 10 months ago. I found your website after Frances(James' mom) called to tell me you were going to be down here. I wanted to see where you were going to be but she read it in the Frederick newspaper and it was an article about your last visit down here. I was disappointed that I had missed you being in my city. Write me sometime when you get a chance. Congratulations on getting married. I did hear that through the grapevine(Christine) back when I was living in Frederick. Hopefully I'll chat with you soon.
Take care,
Roxanne

Tim - June 8, 2006, 11:30 pm

David Morreale.

peace,

Hey Dave,
I'm sure you probably don't remember me but I used to listen to you every Wednesday Night at Bushwaller in Frederick MD. You've actually been over to my house a few times and you even tried to give me a quick guitar lesson! Anyway I still listen to your CD's from time to time mostly when I'm having relationship issues:-)
I just wanted to tell you that I've always admired your talent and determination to follow your dreams. Best of luck, and I hope to see you at one of your Baltimore shows. BTW, saw you got married!!! Congrats:-)

We met in Indianapolis. Your music has inspired me in many ways. For one, I am finally writing songs after two years of creative drought. Thank you for that gift of energy to create that you gave in your music. It truly moved me. I was the Bahai' if you remember.

Just got my CD from CDBaby, and David you really nailed it this time around! A frienda t work Lori heard it and immediately ordered one too. This is one great collection of songs! The art and packaging looks so beautiful too. Good job and thanks for the great music.

Tim - December 28, 2005, 11:19 pm
Word brother.

What's the wassup on these southeast shows I read about a while back? It's a rare thing that I get north of the border (uh...Florida, although they do speak a lot of Spanish down here) these days, so the closer you get to here the farther I can go...

...does that make sense?

-Tim
